Nine Steps is a three bedroom, two bathroom home with a large open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area, as well as a smaller second lounge.
The house is designed so guests are sheltered from the weather, while still feeling a part of the environment. Large picture windows are a key feature of the house, along with the many covered decks.
Nine Steps is separated into two pavilions - the bedroom and bathroom pavilion and the lounge/dining/kitchen pavilion - which are connected by a central deck and glass atrium.
This stunning open plan space containing the kitchen/lounge/dining - with exposed steel frame and ply paneled walls - is designed for family gatherings and cosy weekends away.
Picture windows take in views of the bush land and the feature cathedral glass doors and windows look up to the granite face of Mount Buffalo. The large glass doors slide open to a covered deck with Weber BBQ and outdoor dining table.
The great room has a large wood burner, air-conditioning and three ceiling fans, as well as opening windows to catch the breeze and cool evening air.
Two leather couches are positioned to take in the views outside, gaze at the fireplace, watch a DVD, read a book or chat with your companions. The valley doesn't receive TV reception (which our guests seem to like!), so we provide a DVD player and selection of DVDs for your entertainment.
Our 3.7 metre dining table was made locally in Porepunkah from Himalayan cedar sourced from Kinglake.
The fully equipped cooks kitchen is set around an island bench with bar stools - perfect whether you're preparing breakfast or enjoying some cheese and wine.
The kitchen features:
Fisher & Paykel 90cm electric oven and gas stove top
Fisher & Paykel dual dish drawers
Nespresso machine and pods
4 slice toaster
Crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots and pans and serving dishes.
Herbs and spices
An Ikea high chair is also available.
